As 2018 closes I am so over people coming out of the wood work to wish us all good luck in 2019. The contempt becomes palpable when somebody starts waxing philosophically, as if their nugget of wisdom might solve the worlds problems. Where were all those sparks of wisdom the rest of the year? Did you wake up today December 31, 2018 wiser? I think not.
