Exploring the Abandoned Beelitz Heilstätten Military Hospital
For more photos and videos from Beelitz Heilstätten, explore the Beelitz Heilstätten location page.
Beelitz Heilstätten is an abandoned military hospital in Brandenburg, Germany. The hospital, a complex of about 60 buildings, opened in 1898 and served the Imperial German Army during World War I and Red Army forces during World War II. While some sections of the hospital are still operational, most of the complex has been abandoned, including a rifle range and the surgery and psychiatric wards. The hospital has also become a destination for Instagrammers in the area to photograph the large, empty spaces and the artwork found on its walls.
